Meet the

Laundresses

Before we began creating brands and wonderlands, we had to first create our own. Paper Laundry started as a vision between steadfast creative partners Cara Moyle and Ashlynn Dawes. We brought our dream studio to life by marching to the beat of our own bongos — and helping brands we believe in do the same. 

We were born in 2016 with the belief that great branding can’t be bought off a shelf. We wanted to give people and businesses the opportunity to create a brand with that magical, memorable, indefinable-something. Because we believe that authenticity will always outlast trends — and blending in will never beat the utter joy of standing out.

Cara Moyle

With 15+ years of agency experience, Cara knows the ins and outs of how successful brands are built. By pairing insight with organization, process with collaboration, and topping it off with thoughtful client relationships — Cara leads the way (often with spreadsheets in hand). With a career that’s produced award-winning work for nationally-recognized clients, she helms the studio with vision, expertise, and a whole lotta passion.

From big advertising agencies to itty bitty shops, Ashlynn has seen it all and been called it all: designer, art director, creative director (possibly other not as kind things) — but creative dreamer is probably the most apt title. At Paper Laundry, she is the visionary, making dreams into creation: plotting out gorgeous work, putting vision to the voice, and creating genuine, thoughtful brands.

Emma’s a self-proclaimed “word nerd” who’s passionate about helping brands find their voice. She studied creative advertising at Virginia Commonwealth University and has lended her copywriting chops to brands big and small. Emma brings a fresh perspective and a wallop of originality to every project she takes on.
